FirstCapital is pleased to announce the appointment of John Yeomans as Director. He will spearhead the growth of FirstCapital's merger and acquisition business, targeted at venture backed technology companies, and lead finance raising deals in the telecommunications sector.

John brings over 25 years of valuable technological and managerial experience to FirstCapital. The last 15 of these were in the City, where he headed HSBC's TMT Corporate Finance team. The first 10 years were working in technology venture businesses, including a start up and an MBO.

John is an engineer with experience in industry and financial services. Under his direction, HSBC TMT Corporate Finance became a $120 million global business. He was a financial and strategy consultant at KPMG for 7 years, and he also worked with Regis McKenna, a Silicon Valley high technology positioning specialist. In industry he gained marketing, sales and product management experience at Mitel. His early career started in a spin out from University College London. He moved into an office technology start up, and then became a director in an MBO, leading a 10-year review of the UK Government's communications networks. He has non-executive experience in technology start ups, and holds a starred first class degree in Electrical Sciences from Cambridge University.
