Optimistic outlook for venture capital investment in Telecom IP services
The telecommunications industry is in turmoil, but venture capital investment in the sector remains strong. As FirstCapital has found a total of $6.4bn has been invested by venture capitalists in communications software since beginning of 2001, which accounts for 42% of all venture investment in software.

AIM technology raises £3.1m in first round of funding

Financial services attracts increased venture capital investment
Venture Capitalists are increasing investment in technology companies targeting the financial services sector, whilst overall technology investment is falling. FirstCapital research found that $258mn was invested in this sector in the first four months of this year, a 34% rise on the same period last year.
