FirstCapital Director, John Yeomans, was a panellist at the IPTV World Forum, 2010 discussion on ‘Justifying Media Service Investment in a Difficult Economic Climate’. In this context, John together with senior investment banking analysts debated the drivers for investment in internet television services. TV is at a fascinating inflection point: under 30's have largely switched to the web; 2009 saw the internet gain more advertising revenues than TV; but at the same time Canvas won serious industry backing to develop a solution to unify the web/TV viewing experience. But the time is not quite yet for mass market investments in this field.
