AIM Technology was a software company delivering enterprise analytical applications to support strategic business decisions. AIM technology's solutions provided unique business intelligence from multiple data sources for increased profitability, performance management and efficiency.

The founding team of AIM Technology were successful serial entrepreneurs and had invested significant capital in the company. They identified a large opportunity in the US market and required the right funding partners to support their entry into that market. AIM selected FirstCapital after discussions with a number of potential advisers to help them to craft the complex investment proposition and to access our wide network of potential investors.

FirstCapital executed a targeted marketing program that resulted in multiple term sheets being received. FirstCapital then worked with the founders to build the right investment syndicate and guide the company through due diligence. Granville Baird Capital Partners and Lynx New Media Ventures invested £3.1mn which the company used this funding to build its position in the US market and the investment syndicate was subsequently joined by 3i.
