Favourite saying

“May you live in interesting times” is reputed to be an old Chinese curse. For me, while “interesting” may be difficult and challenging it can also be rewarding and stimulating.

Best ever holiday destination

Sea kayaking in Abel Tasman national park in New Zealand. Wonderful scenery, remote and unspoilt.

Favourite past-time

Playing sports and being outdoors, especially together, for example skiing, cycling and hiking.

Past achievement I am most proud of

As a sponsored student engineer with Marconi, I was part of a 4 person team that won the GEC National Young Employees Competition of the Year in 1987. The competition rules didn’t anticipate a female team member in the main competition (women had to enter as a separate category), so my 3 male colleagues and I entered as a male team and won. My trophy was a pewter beer tankard!

What Our Clients Say

“FirstCapital came highly recommended by our chairman who had worked with them previously and I was very impressed from the outset with their people and approach. They conducted a robust evaluation of i2O’s potential and their clear understanding of the needs and expectations of VCs resulted in us making key changes that not only strengthened the business for the longer-term but also made it a more attractive proposition to potential investors.”
