Richard Atkins has spent the majority of his career within the IT and support services industry and has held a number of senior positions in marketing, strategy and general management at IBM, most latterly in 2005 as General Manager, IBM Global Services Northern Europe, and was a member of the IBM worldwide Senior Leadership Team. Previously, Richard was Finance Director of Data Sciences Limited where he led the company’s MBO from Thorn EMI plc and later managed its sale to IBM in 1996. Richard is Chairman of 7 City Learning Ltd, is non-executive director at Global Crossing UK, and was formerly a non-executive director of Message Labs Ltd, which was sold to Symantec in 2008 for $695mn.
